Artificial intelligence, retro gaming and religious folklore collide in GOLEM.AI, a new screenlife comedy horror arriving on UK digital platforms on October 12, 2026 through GrimmVision.
Directed by Rebecca Wahl, the film follows two estranged friends, Alec and Dylan, who reconnect over video chat in an attempt to repair their relationship – Alec is an AI researcher, while Dylan is trying to put his life back together after a difficult period – but their reunion takes a very different turn when they launch their favorite retro online shooter, where the pair unleash a digital nightmare that begins invading their screens and targeting them over mistakes from their past online lives.
The story also ties its technology-driven horror to religious folklore, creating a mix of old supernatural ideas and modern digital paranoia rather than treating the AI element as a straightforward technological thriller.
The film runs for around 66 minutes and the cast includes Alec Seymour, Dylan Hares, Sasha Gheesling, Hallie Griffin, Brandon Salerno and Brit Sulkin, with Wahl directing and Seymour credited as writer – GOLEM.AI arrives on UK digital platforms on October 12, 2026, released by GrimmVision.
