Who’s Watching Releases on Digital September 18

Who’s Watching arrives on digital September 18, following a loner whose obsession with his coworker turns into dangerous surveillance.

Tim Kasher’s psychological horror thriller Who’s Watching is finally getting its wider release, with the film heading to digital platforms and select US cinemas on September 18, 2026 through Dark Sky Films.

The film follows Caleb (Zachary Ray Sherman), a metalhead loner and aspiring filmmaker who becomes fixated on his new coworker Krista (Gracie Gillam), which soon becomes something considerably worse when Caleb decides to secretly document her life and turn her into the subject of his latest film.

Naturally, he doesn’t exactly ask for permission, and as Caleb gets deeper into Krista’s life, the whole thing moves from awkward obsession into surveillance, manipulation and eventually criminal behavior – the film first premiered at Beyond Fest in October 2024, before the film subsequently received its international premiere at the SoHo Horror Film Festival.

Who’s Watching was written and directed by Tim Kasher, who is probably more familiar to people through his music than his filmmaking, because Kasher is the frontman of indie-rock bands Cursive and The Good Life, and according to the filmmaker, the project had been in development for more than a decade, going through countless drafts before eventually becoming the film that audiences will now get to see, where Kasher said he was “incredibly proud” of what they created and singled out the performances from Sherman, Gillam and Olivia Luccardi for bringing the story to life.

Alongside Sherman and Gillam, the film stars Olivia Luccardi, known for It Follows and Soft & Quiet, and Steve Berg, who has appeared in Don’t Worry Darling and Tag, and Sherman’s performance has already picked up some recognition, with the actor winning Best Actor at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival for his portrayal of Caleb.

Dark Sky Films executive vice president Greg Newman praised Sherman’s performance as the anchor of the movie, calling Who’s Watching a “smart, provocative thriller” that stays with the viewer after it ends, and Newman also pointed to Kasher’s long-running interest in relationships and darker aspects of human behaviour as something that carries over from his music into the film.

Who’s Watching arrives on digital platforms and in select US cinemas on September 18, 2026.
