A Possession in Lincoln County premieres October 23, 2026 on FOUND TV, bringing a low-budget found-footage tale of demonic possession.
A Possession in Lincoln County is finally getting its release date, with the indie horror movie set to premiere exclusively on FOUND TV on October 23, 2026.
Directed by Louie La Vella and written by Monica La Vella, A Possession in Lincoln County was made as a deliberately low-budget production, with the filmmakers aiming to show what can still be done with the format without a huge amount of money behind it.
And we’re talking really low budget here, as apparently the production budget was $7,500 – $10,000, and it was filmed in Canada using GoPro 4K cameras, runs approximately 72 minutes, and was completed in April 2026.
A Possession in Lincoln County Plot and Cast
The movie centres on Jake, a man documenting his wife’s battle with cancer, and when she receives a terminal diagnosis, Jake becomes desperate enough to look for something beyond conventional medicine, and that search leads him to an ancient ritual intended to summon the Devil and make a deal.
The footage eventually turns into a record of kidnapping, demonic rituals and increasingly desperate decisions, with Jake’s attempt to save his wife pushing him into territory he presumably never expected to enter.
Matt Gallagher Heakes plays Jake, with Sabrina Knappett as his wife Juliet, while Hannah Brennen plays Rebecca, and JoAnn Bundock appears as Morgana, the psychic who introduces Jake to the ritual – the cast also includes Ian P. Causer, Nathan Fleet and Jeremy Major.
Louie La Vella directs from Monica La Vella’s screenplay, with Louie also serving as producer – the pair have previously worked together on Invited, while Louie has directing and producing credits including The Woodmen, Science of a Seance and Mindful Meditation.
And according to the film’s festival information, the editing was handled by the filmmakers’ 16-year-old son, who is credited as the editor and will appear alongside the director and writer for a Q&A following the film’s Hamilton Film Festival screening on October 22.
