Argentinian found-footage horror 1C, also known as Apartment 1C, traps a group inside an abandoned Buenos Aires apartment where disturbing recordings reveal what happened.
There’s a new Argentinian found-footage horror doing the rounds, and 1C, also known as Apartment 1C, takes the very simple approach of putting a group of people inside an apartment and then making sure they can’t get back out.
Written and directed by Gabriel Musco, the film is set in Buenos Aires and revolves around an abandoned apartment where some disturbing recordings are discovered.
No release date yet, however.
What Is 1C About?
A landlord and his team enter an abandoned Buenos Aires apartment to carry out an eviction, where inside, they find evidence that something seriously went wrong with the previous tenant, along with a phone containing recordings of what happened.
The recordings document the tenant’s increasingly disturbing physical and psychological deterioration, while also suggesting that whatever happened wasn’t simply a case of someone losing their mind.
Then things get considerably worse – the exits lock and the group becomes trapped inside the apartment, and they are now stuck in the same place where the previous tenant disappeared, with something apparently still inside.
The official international material lists the runtime at 72 minutes.
Gabriel Musco Directs
Musco is credited as writer, director and producer, with Walter Ponte handling cinematography, and the cast includes Dina Colman, Ramsés Tuzzio, Nahuel Yotich, Maximiliano Zago, Lala Mendebil and Jessica Sanchez.
The film is produced by Latitud Audiovisual, with Red Owl Films handling worldwide distribution according to the current international release information.
The film has also made its way onto the festival circuit – 1C was included in the Argentine competition at the Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre genre festival, alongside a selection of other local horror and fantasy films.
