About The Night is Young
The Night Is Young follows the story of Nora (Sarah McGuire), an influencer, who along with her brother are filming her failed dates for a video blog. Through a turn of events, she ends up on a date with a female vampire.
The film from Terror Films is set to be released on multiple streaming platforms from April 18th, including Tubi TV, and is directed by Patrick Rea and the cast includes Sarah McGuire, Valeri Bates, Jake Jackson, Shawn Eric Jones, Kurt Hanover, Valeri Bates, Kristin Rea.
As a director I’ve always tried to do something different with each feature I’ve made. I have always been a fan of the found footage genre since seeing the film The Blair Witch Project in the summer of ‘99. However, I wanted to make something that took the subgenre in a fresh direction, yet still maintaining the spirit of what audiences have come to expect.
In the summer of 2023, Jake Jackson, Sarah McGuire and I decided to make this project a reality and shot the film over the course of 12 days all over Kansas City. We were lucky to have collaborated with a great group of actors and crew to make what we consider to be a fun found- footage style horror film that combines humor, scares and characters who are likable. We hope you enjoy the movie and that it leaves you wanting to see these characters again – Patrick Rea.
