Found Footage Film ‘.ask’ Is Now Available To Stream

What happens when a 40-something YouTuber finds unexpected success after following a mysterious life coach’s advice?

About .ask

.ask is a new found footage horror film by director Chris Vander Kaay, and I have been noticing some positive comments on Reddit regarding it.

The film follows a wannabe YouTube influencer, exploring themes of fake confidence and overnight fame, inspired by the director’s real-life experiences in marketing, and takes place in Florida, Las Vegas, and online, with a $500 budget.

Here are some of the comments about the film that have been posted on Reddit, and remember, this is an extremely micro budget offering, so no-one expects a masterpiece, but I always enjoy low budget films to see what can be done, so I will be adding this to my watch list.

I watched this Saturday night! It wasn’t on my must watch, but we had bad weather here and it was the only thing that would play. Had a great surprise because I absolutely loved it! The storyline, the character and the tension were all fantastic! Can’t wait to see what is next

This was better than a lot of recent “mainstream” FF releases

This movie is actually brilliant and this guy definitely has a talent for writing. The movie starts off one way and smooth transitions to another way, then it totally surprises you. I am telling you guys this is a must watch.

It’s not bad. The visuals weren’t great (though that’s to be expected for the budget) and the last third’s a bit all over the place, but it’s definitely pretty original.

I really enjoyed this one- definitely different and I had no idea where it was going. Nice to watch a FF film that’s a bit different

Hello fellow found footage nerds.

I watch a lot of found footage horror movies, so decided to do a simple page with all the reviews of the ones I watch, and hopefully make this site an index of hundreds of reviews.
