About The Ceremony Is About To Begin
After a festival run in 2024, The Ceremony Is About To Begin has now released on Amazon Prime to rent or buy, with plans to bring the film to other streaming platforms in March, including Tubi.
Directed by Sean Nichols Lynch who also co-wrote the script with Chad Westbrook Hinds and John Laird, who also star in the film.
The official synopsis reads:
Madness, mayhem, and mummification rites ensue when a documentary filmmaker visits the rural commune of the Osiris Collective, an ancient Egyptian inspired cult, to investigate the disappearance of his ex-girlfriend.
And Lynch had this to say on the film.
“The aim of The Ceremony Is About To Begin was to take a fresh look at a classic movie monster through a 21st-century lens of true crime documentaries, found footage, and the cult of disinformation, all while making something wild and weird for the midnight movie crowd. In collaboration with Chad and John, I think we’ve made something really bold and exciting for horror fans.”
