Meet Caleb, the main character in Who’s Watching, a new found footage horror movie debuting soon.
Synopsis
A loner who passes his time as part of a low-rent heavy metal band, Caleb (Zachary Ray Sherman) becomes obsessed with a new female co-worker.
At first, he records her under the fake guise of making a documentary, but as his infatuation grows, he resorts to more desperate and dangerous methods to change her mind about him.
With stretches of found-footage perspective and a wholesale punk edge, indie rock veteran Tim Kasher’s (frontman Cursive and The Good Life) first feature brings fresh energy and an experimental approach to stalker-focused horror storytelling, constantly zigging where you expect him to zag.
About Who’s Watching
Who’s Watching is set to debut in October at Beyond Fest and the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival and an official poster has been released, which you can see above.
Tim Kasher has this to say about the movie.
Who’s Watching is a story I first conceived way back in 2010, as I had yet to see a movie approach the stalker trope from this particular angle.
After passing the script around to little interest, I set it aside before returning to it around 2018, realizing that STILL no one had told this story in such a fashion.
A few bumpy years followed (as well as a pandemic) but we eventually got it shot in late summer of 2023, in and around Omaha, Nebraska where I was born and raised.
This poster is from the vision of Carlos Colón, crafting imagery that feels both nostalgic and modern to us, exactly what we were looking for to encapsulate this film that we tried to make “out of time, feeling neither present nor past.
The film is set to star Zachary Ray Sherman, Gracie Gillam and Olivia Luccardi.
