Devil’s Trail is about two quite dumb and annoying survivalists that go on the hunt for the Jersey Devil, and end up bickering a lot.
Synopsis
Two reality TV stars who are survival experts embark on a 21-day mission to find the Jersey Devil, a cryptid in the Pine Barrens of South Jersey.
My Thoughts
I will start off straight off the bat by saying this movie offers very little that hasn’t been done a million times before and a million times better in a lot of cases.
For two survival experts they sure do make a lot of survival mistakes as well such as forgetting the essentials that even a child would know to bring.
The characters, Dallas (John Bradley Hambrick) and Hank (Henrique Couto, who also directs) spend a lot of time bickering as well and it gets annoying fast.
The ending has not one, but two twists, and both fail quite miserably because neither really work. The first twist is unclear about what is real or fake, and the second twist just repeats a scene from earlier.
If you enjoy bad acting and looking at some red eyes, then be my guest and give this a watch. Nothing really happens in this movie and I am not entirely sure what to say.
It’s like a really bad reality show with a checkbox of cliches.
And after watching this, I saw they had released an uncut version! What?
I do appreciate low budget horror and people attempting something, but when it is as bad as this, you have to ask why, at least attempt something new.

Bad Points
Nothing Happens: Nothing really happens in this film, sure you have scenes, but scenes of nothingness.
Awful Ending: The ending tried, it tried hard, but it also failed hard.
Annoying Bickering: My word the bickering between the two main characters was so ridiculously annoying I nearly turned it off. In fact, I should have turned it off.
